2006 Kids Choice Awards Lindsey Lohan was nominated for the movie Herbie Fully Loaded and the other films in contention included the extremely popular Harry Potter, Charlie and Chocolate Factory.

She has very tough competition at the awards as she was pitted against the likes of Drew Barrymore, Jessica Alba and Dakota Fanning.

The fact that she won against such superlative competition speaks for itself. Herbie Fully Loaded where she plays a racing hero is a story of an unlikely car in love with her. The car has emotions and responds to Lohan in a way that can happen only in movies.

The Nickelodeon Kids Choice awards are one of the most popular awards where kids get to decide and vote for their favorite movie. There is always a tough competition as kids are quite tough to please.

The awards also serve as a meter to gauge the popularity of a particular actor or actresses among the younger generation. The fact that the kids voted her whole heartedly would be heartening for one of the most controversial actresses in recent times.

The press may write about her drug and drinking parties but none of this seemed to have mattered when she was chosen as the best in 2006.

Kids have a way of showing their love and admiration and the overwhelming response that she got when she came on stage to receive the awards must have made Lohan one of the happiest people that night.
