Ashanti’s new career path takes her on the Yellow Brick Road as Dorothy in the revival of “The Wiz”. The Grammy winning singer songwriter would debut onstage this summer running through June 12 through July 5 at the New York Center.
The Wiz is the soul version of the popular L. Frank Baum classic “The Wizard of Oz” and the score for the play was made by Charlie Smalls with a book out in the market by William Brown.
