Biggest Fiasco No 3: Pluto Nash
April 16, 2009 by Wooden Spears Staff
The film was fifteen years in the making and that should have been a portent of things to come. The film remained unfinished for two years and with the main star Eddie Murphy giving a halfhearted performance resulted in a budget of $100 million earning only $8.9 million worldwide.
This is the greatest financial loss of any film ever made in the history of cinema. It has remained the standard that other classics would hope to avoid in the future.
