David Hyde Pierce Reveals Marriage To Partner

david-hyde-pierce Frasier alum, actor David Hyde Pierce, revealed to the ladies of The View, that he and longtime partner Brian Hargrove were married last fall. The two married before proposition 8 when it was legal for same-sex couples to marry in California.

David decided to finally speak out after the court upheld the decision to ban same-sex unions. David said, “Brian and I always kept a low profile. We didn’t hide our lives. We got married very quietly last October 24 and thought that was fine, and then suddenly the state of California said, ‘No, it’s not.”

Although all marriages that occurred before the ban are still legal, the actor says he felt “very angry” while awaiting the Prop 8 decision. He went on to say, “Gee, I hope it’s OK the Supreme Court thinks I’m married.’ Excuse me, it’s none of your business.”
