Diana Ross has “key role” in Michael Jackson’s will

Michael Jackson’s will has revealed that it is Diana Ross who will be the guardian of Michael Jackson’s three children should their Grandmother die while they are minors.
Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine, 79, currently holds custody of the three children who lost their father last Thursday. They are aged 12, 11 and 7.
The last will of Jackson, dated from almost seven years ago, has been filed recently in an LA Court, nominated musician Diana Ross as an alternative guardian – meaning full custody should go to her should Katherine Jackson die.
It is understood Michael Jackson and Diana Ross are very good friends.
The will has been causing much controversy amongst family members, some of which have been cut out.
One of the most notable people who has been cut out so far is Michael Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson. It is understood that he will not receive a share of the singer’s fortune. Early reports indicate that beneficiaries include Michael’s three children, his Mother and a few selected charities.
It is rumored that Joe Jackson was not included in the will because he abused Michael as a child – however, there is no evidence as of yet to support this.
Another person who has been cut out of the will is Debbie Rowe, the estranged ex-wife of Michael Jackson. Rowe is the mother of the two eldest children, Prince and Paris. The will indicates that the omission was “intentional”.
Estimates of the total value vary from source to source and there have been no concrete figures of his overall wealth for a while now. This is partly due to a significant debt he had and the fact that most of his wealth was tied up in non-cash assets.
Michael Jackson has certainly gone out with a bang and not a whimper. His will has sent shockwaves through his family – and it has only just been filed.
