Grieving fans have been paying tribute to Michael Jackson one week on from his unexpected death. He died from cardiac arrest at his home, the Neverland Ranch in California.
His official website, www.michaeljackson.com, has been transformed into a place for fans to come together and remember the remarkable work of the superstar.
Over 400,000 people have left remarks so far, with that number rising and expected to rise even more as key events like the superstar’s memorial loom.
Many fans have been making comments recently, including Daniel, who said: “Michael, you were a inspiration in all my life, I love your music, your dance. You were the best musician of the world, the King of Pop.”
Fans have been coming together from around the world, from Ecuador to England, with tributes in a variety of languages.
Nora had this to say: “Michael Jackson was the best thing to hit the music scene. Ever.”
The website has seen non-stop traffic with the amount of comments increasing by the minute. This comment comes from Trish: “Boy, where do I start. Michael has been in my entire life… I remember listening to Thriller on my little record player when I was 4, then patiently awaiting more: Bad, Dangerous, and on and on. His music has been there for me, gave me hope and strength. Michael will forevermore be in my heart. Rest in peace, sweet angel.
The website currently is playing host to testimonials from both celebrities and the public. It seems everyone has a lot to say about the death of the King of Pop. There are certainly going to be more moving tributes as the memorial for the superstar comes nearer on July 7. It seems that the shock of the sudden death of the King of Pop from cardiac arrest still hasn’t sunk in for many.
