Greed is good once again: Javier Bardem naked villainy on tap for ‘Wall Street 2′ – alongside Michael Douglas and Shia LeBeouf!
Yes yes yes! Michael Douglas is resurrecting his Oscar-winning role playing Gordon Gecko in Wall Street 2. Apparently Shia LeBeouf is coming in as a trader on the rise who’s engaged to Gecko’s estranged daughter. Javier is playing a questionable funds manager who is suspected of murdering Shia’s early mentor among other things. When Shia’s character goes to Gecko for help in solving his mentor’s murder, Gecko agrees in turn for a reconcilliation with his daughter. The timeline is from June 0f 08 up to the big federal bailout, so it should be riveting, current and a rare opportunity to reconnect with an iconic character. Can’t wait!!
