Live Dee Dee Bridgewater Pic
August 30, 2009 by Eric Galvingo
This Dee Dee Bridgewater pic was taken during one of her live jazz performances. She seems to be so powerful in giving out the audience a good song number. Apart from singing, Dee Dee is a radio show host and the UN Ambassador for Food and Agriculture Organization.
She was first exposed to jazz music during her teenage years. At 16, she was a member of the rock and rhythm blues band called Michigan. The group toured extensively in Soviet Union on 1969. When the group broke up, she joined the Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra, which marked the beginning of her jazz career.
Since then, she had went on to release several successful jazz albums, which have been recognized by garnering one Grammy Award honors and seven nominations.
