Nicollette Sheridan Will Take Her Final Bow on April 19th Airing of “Desperate Housewives”

nicolette-pic In what will be her last remnants of screentime on prime time television, at least for now, Nicollette Sheridan will take her final bow playing Edie Britt on April 19th’s airing of “Desperate Housewives”. The blonde, known for her on-again/ off-again relationship with singer Michael Bolton, will exit by most likely succumbing to her injuries which were sustained in a previous episode. Wow! ABC execs sure know how to milk a storyline for all it’s worth! In the episode, titled “Look Into Their Eyes and See What They Know” sources rumor that Edie will slip from her present comatose state into death. Sources also allege that Edie will, for this episode only, take on the narration role most notably played by Brenda Strong, the first actress to die in the popular t.v. series. As far as the reason for Sheridan’s departure, many attribute it to frequent diva-like behavior (a claim I heard personally from a production assistant working on the set. Others attribute it to ABC’s efforts to cut costs in a bad economy while possibly reinvigorating the popularity of the fading tv show.
