Oprah Winfrey Contributions To Society is enormous.Oprahs private charity ‘The Oprah Winfrey Foundation’ has given thousands of grants to organizations who support education to children, empowerment of women, helping families in America and across the globe.

She has donated millions of dollars for providing better education to children’s who have merits, but lack in means. The Oprah Winfreys Scholarship Programme gives scholarships to students who will educate themselves and give back to their community.

Many schools have been developed by her to educate thousands of under deserved children internationally.

Her Christmas Kindness South Africa 2002 which is an extension of her pet Foundation visits orphanages and rural schools in South Africa and more than 50000 kids receive gifts in the form of toys, books, food, athletic shoes and clothing.

Along with Nelson Mandela, in Dec 2000 she pledged to build a school in South Africa.Her Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa contributed more than $40 million towards girl’s education in Jan 2007.The vision of the Academy is to develop future women leaders of South Africa.

Her Angel Network public charity was established in 1988, which encourages viewers to bring a difference in someones life.it has 100% audience donation and till date raised more than $50 million, it works on the principle of voluntary, non profit organization.

Oprah Winfrey Contributions to Society helps to support women’s shelter, helps establish schools and scholarships, builds youth centers and homes for the poor and the needy, thus bringing in change for the future and changing the world for betterment.

Oprah initiated the National Child Protection Act in 1991, which has established a national database of convicted child abusers. The ‘OPRAH BILL’ was signed by President Clinton in Dec 20 1993 and came into law.
