‘We Are the World’ to be Re-recorded For Haiti

It’s good to know some celebrities have some compassion. Good for Quincy Jones. Remember the single that was recorded to help battle hunger in Africa called “We Are The World”? In it lots of celebrities lent their voices and the proceeds for from the sale went to hunger relief efforts. Well now Quincy has decided to re-record “We Are The World” and do it for Haiti.

This year also happens to mark the twenty fifth anniversary of the song. Quincy tells us un an interview with E! “It’s the 25th anniversary and it’s perfect timing. It’s not an accident, man. That’s God. It will be ‘We Are the World’ for Haiti.”

Although Quincy didn’t name who would record this version, E! thinks people like Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Will Smith, Sheryl Crow are some that will participate.

‘I do’ says Miley Cyrus

The 17 year old star who denied all rumors of being engaged has recently claimed that she is going strong with actor boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. She was recently photographed wearing an engagement ring on her ring finger.

Miley and Liam declared in public in September 2009 that they were an item. Miley has also been telling friends that she likes the way her name sounds when she adds the surname Hemsworth to her name. Miley parents were also not happy when Liam moved into the house with her but when they were threatened by Miley that she would move out, they had to give in!

She is also waiting to turn 18 so she can start doing whatever she wants, that includes marrying her boyfriend. The star’s father, the “Achy Breaky Heart” hitmaker Billy ray Cyrus has told a record company that his daughter wants to take a break from her career to be able to spend quality time with Liam. He has also warned her against taking too much time off as there are chances of her being forgotten.

The couple has been spotted on several occasions holding hands and kissing in public. Let’s face it, this is a couple who is totally in love with each other and they are absolutely happy in each other’s company. We wish them all the best for the future and hoping Miley that the engagement ring changes to a wedding ring soon.

Miley Changes Things Up

Miley Cyrus confessed that she wants to change up her musical style after what she claims is her last pop record.

Miley said, “I want to do my last pop record, I’m working on a record right now. I kinda want this to be my last record for a little while and be able to take a break and just get all the types of music that I really love…you know my favorite styles. And be able to have something edgier and not have to worry about people saying, ‘Oh, this isn’t what her fans want to listen to’. Because in a few years, as I grow up, so will my fans and I won’t have to focus on that as much and I’ll be able to have more of the sound of music that I’m into.”

Looks like someone is trying to break out of the Disney mold and I really don’t blame her. Just don’t get too caught up in the Hollywood game Miley.

Miley Cyrus Stalker Gets 2 Years Probation

We’re not big fans of Miley Cirrus, but we’re hoping that this stalker moron is at least being kept far away from Miley.

Mark McLeod pled guilty to police obstruction and disorderly conduct and the judge gave him twenty four months probation with the county mental health department. The judge is also not allowing him to use a computer throughout his entire probation time.

Not to be all gloom and doom and all, but what does probation and taking away computer rights do to a person who is obviously mentally unstable? Can’t a person like this still continue to harass her? We hope not, but too bad there wasn’t enough evidence to lock this basket case away for a while. The problem is that when there is enough evidence it’s because they’ve already done something terrible.

Best wishes with your safety Miley, but we’re still not going to let you or your dad off the hook for behaving like an easy slut at times.

It’s pretty sad when your own fans vote you the “Worst Celebrity Influence”. And it’s even sadder that the distinction was give to you by a bunch of 9-15 year old kids.
